She made a friend right away! (awww)Our babies grow up before our very eyes......Blink and you'll miss it!
Not much to report. Remodeling is still underway. Oour cabinets came in today - - Going to pick them up. We have to wait on our flooring becuase we decided to put in Read Hardwood floors, so they go down first. They should be in this week. Then our countertops we purchased yesterday and I think that's it for now. We have many projects to do, but can only afford a few at a time.
Still waiting on approval for my foot surgery. In the meantime, I wear the "storm trooper" boot - -YUCK! I hate it and I now have a bad attitude about it....SO THERE!
Tomorrow is our first contemporary service at church. Muy excited, but extremely nervous. I am playing the keyboard.....A little intimidating. In 2 weeks we go to 2 services. Traditional and Contemp......I am exctied to see how we grow. Also, no more Wednesday Night Meeting - - - Small Groups begin in 2 weeks another reason to be excited.....Lots going on at church..

Ok....time for a much needed update. Things are going good here......getting settled in. The remodeling is coming along. All the demo work is completed, we are just waiting for our cabinets, countertops and flooring to arrive. The cabinets and countertops will professionally installed; however, we are going to do the floors ourselves.
For those who might recall my injured foot "das boot".....12 weeks and counting, I'm still wearing it...Kicking and screaming of course. However, today I went to the doctor and found out that the 12 weeks of torutue (drum roll please) DIDN'T work and now I'm going to have to have surgery.....but NO it can't be an easy, cut a sew kind of surgery. Yours truly has to have the complex kind. Because I was blessed with FLAT FEET (no arches) like my mother, the ligament won't heal on it's own. So, they are going to have to make an incision in my heal, break it, adjust the heel to help form a small arch, insert a screw make another incision along the side of the foot and repair the ligament.....all this because I jumped off the back of a U-Haul! Then I get to be on crutches (total non-weight bearing) for 8 weeks, back in the boot for period of time accompanied by some much needed physical therapy. This is going to take place some time in August! I will be off work for at least 1 month - - - then depending upon if I can bear to stay off of the foot at work, doc will let me go back..........I am terrified to have the surgery, but if I don't he told me the tear will NEVER completely heal and will get worse and I will eventually have a deformed, crippled foot.....hmmmmmm....what to do......surgery - - - crippled foot - - -for pete sake I'm only 35! Pray for me. I am not a good patient!!!!!!! plus we are in the midst of a remodel, a toddler and a traveling husband. Ok, I'm done pittying myself...................

Ok......we're buying a house.......renovations underway.......my life is going to become more chaotic than normal. Walls are coming down and ceilins are getting raised! "Raise the roof"!!!!!!! I'm excited and nervous.....

Ok, so remember the last post about the "bummed" foot? Here's a picture of my new 4-6 week shoe! UGH! I hate it! Not the fashion statement I'm going for! Please nitice the quite "white" leg as well.........another UGH!
Georgia HAD to have her pic taken with the "boot". Looks like something from Star Wars! Doesn't it?????Ok......I think we are going to head to Fairfield Commons to go shopping! I have a coupon for Penny's and Children's place that expire today.....G needs some jammies and shorts! Maybe we'll get a little something for daddy-oooooo..........It will all depend on how the foot holds out. Supposed to be taking it easy, but a little walking shouldn't hurt.....I'll rest this afternoon.
